EPILOGUE

[Idol Lumin admits to relationship, and his boyfriend is the nation’s favorite actor, Lim Taesup — the first same-sex couple in the entertainment industry!]

Lumin’s agency president, Shim Seung-hoon, lounged on his office sofa, laughing in disbelief as he read the article on his phone.

“Hmm?”

A window popped up on the screen, notifying him of an incoming call and obscuring the article he was reading.

Speak of the devil... Seung-hoon snorted and tapped to answer the call.

“Yep, I just read it. It’s a good article, right? Hey, it’s lucky for you that we could make this work for both parties. If you hadn’t seduced Taesup, you would’ve just been a gay kid with a one-sided crush. You got caught by the paparazzi leaving Taesup’s home back then… Huh? You’re going on a trip? Where? Hawaii? With Taesup? Why? Hello? Hey, Lumin. You have to finish filming Idol Maker. Hey, you crazy punk!”

“Hello? Where are you, Jehyuk Hyung? You just met Taesup Sunbae? Then try to kill some time, please. I’ll set you up with Yoon Jahong, I promise! Please just take care of Taesup Sunbae for me!”

Lumin adjusted his clothes through the mirror in the waiting room. He smiled in his white T-shirt with a graphic print, bright destroyed jeans, and a chest harness. The flashy stage costume was exactly the style that Taesup liked. Lumin opened the door of the waiting room and quickly headed toward the coffee truck where Taesup was.

Lumin walked so he wouldn’t lose his breath, worried that his makeup might get ruined from sweating. But then he became anxious that Taesup might leave while he was walking, so he gradually increased his speed.

After adjusting his walking speed to slow down and speed up, he arrived at the coffee truck. Lumin saw Taesup talking to Ma Jehyuk. He’d gazed upon that face for four years ever since the sponsorship began, but he still never got tired of it.

He felt sorry about Taesup’s haggard appearance; he must have been struggling these days. But then when Lumin thought about the mental anguish he’d suffered over the past year, his sympathy dissipated. He looked at the black screen of his phone, straightened his bangs individually, and smiled slightly.

He was confused when this unfamiliar feeling first began bubbling up. But he soon realized it for what it was; the strange and unknowable feeling was love. He mustered up the courage to confess. He liked Taesup. Loved him, in fact. Perhaps because Lumin was so much younger than Taesup, he didn’t hesitate. And when Taesup rejected him with a straight face, he didn’t feel dejected. Instead, he looked for an opportunity. To make Taesup his.

At one time, he consoled himself, convincing himself that he was happy simply being by his side, but his heart, feeling empty and lonely after confessing his feelings, gradually filled with a true desire to have a “real relationship” based on mutual love for one another. He was no longer satisfied with only physical encounters. He wanted to catch the free Taesup and make him his lover.

So Ma Jehyuk agreed to help Lumin on the condition that he introduce him to Yoon Jahong. After meticulously setting up the trap called jealousy, all that was left was to wait for Lim Taesup to fall for it.

Lumin took a deep breath, spread his arms, hugged Ma Jehyuk’s back, and made eye contact with Taesup on the other side.

“Guess who!”
